Teaching Adult Piano Students – or What I Learned from My Personal Trainer at the Gym

Adults are one of the fastest-growing pools of piano students for independent teachers. How do we structure lessons so both the student and the teacher find satisfaction in the experience?  We’ll discuss studio policies, goal setting, lesson plans, and repertoire for adults.

Due to weather forecast conditions, this meeting will NOT be in person, but just virtual with ZOOM.

Concerned about your students?  Wondering how you can help them cope with emotional struggles?  Want ideas in teaching them how to focus?  Needing a mental health boost yourself?  Then join us for a very fitting discussion in our challenging times.

Sarah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who has been working in the mental health field for over a decade. Her mother has been a piano teacher in Minnesota for 30 years.
